The Forbes Field
Forbes Field was a baseball field in the Oakland neighborhood located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1909 to 1971. It was the third home to the Pittsburgh Pirates and the first home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) franchises, respectively. The home plate for Forbes Field and part of the outfield wall are still in place.
The Pitt Stadium
Pitt Stadium was a stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1925 to 1999. It served primarily as the home of the University of Pittsburgh's football team, the Pittsburgh Panthers. Pitt Stadium also served as the second home of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1963 to 1969.
The Three Rivers Stadium
Three Rivers Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1970 to 2000. It was home to the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise and National Football League (NFL) franchise respectively.
The Heinz Field
Heinz Field is a stadium located in the North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It primarily serves as the home to the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh Panthers football teams, members of the National Football League (NFL) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) respectively. The stadium opened in 2001, after the demolition of the teams's previous stadium, Three Rivers Stadium. The stadium is named for a once locally based H. J. Heinz Company, a sponsor of the Stadium.
